Today was "A Day In the Life," where we observed our instructor doing the entire flow of flight. We were all excited when we boarded the RJ in the hangar, but when we saw that the Captain had no First Officer, we knew we weren't going anywhere. It was still good to see her going through the preflight and preparing the galley, but it was hot as hell since the ground power unit was not plugged in. The pilot was a friend of hers and a smartass; after briefing us on the flight details he turned off the no-smoking sign and invited us to smoke 'em if we got 'em.
Oh and p.s. I asked how often those pillows and blankets are cleaned. You probably should just bring your own next time.
